At just under 2500 square feet, Taylor Dawson knocked it out of the park with this little plan called “Windward”. I grew up here on Lake Martin, my family had the 4th cabin built here just off Governor’s Island Rd. The Windward plan is such an efficient use of space, the layout and design is perfect. The sublet notes like the overhang of the roof , the wood ceilings and walls are a great depiction of the cabins roots, which date back to the 50?s. Properly placed on the lot, gives the entire house views and feel of Lake Martin.. That’s what we call the “Lake Martin Transfusion”, it slows you down, relaxes the mind and lets you enjoy the lake life. The 1100 square feet of deck and porch are just right and are a nice finishing touch to the plan. I can hear the frogs and crickets just looking at the photo. I really like what Taylor designed here and would love to sit out on that deck with my family, listen to a little Jack Johnson and watch the sunset. That’s what Lake Martin is all about…
